  • About My HomeLook™ account:

    What is a My HomeLook™ account?
    The My HomeLook™ account allows you to do many things, including:
    HotList – You can add any properties that you find interesting, to your Hotlist.   This list can then be emailed to an agent for additional information, or you can send it to a friend.
    Rate Properties - Within your hotlist, you can rate properties with the desired level of interest.
    Save Searches - You have the ability to save any of your property search criteria so you can view it at a later time.
    Automatic email – Automatically receive email when new listings come available.
    One Account, Many Websites – Your My HomeLook™ account can be used on any John R Wood, Inc. website.
    Advanced Search by any community – A detailed search is provided to My HomeLook™ account users.  This search will allow you to select search critera for specfic communities within Southwest Florida.

    Why do I need a HomeLook™ account?
    A My HomeLook™ Account is the most robust and effective way to stay fully informed about properties of interest to you. This allows you to find properties that match your desires and rate them HOT, Warm, or Cold. Assisting you in the decision process.

    How can I sign up for a HomeLook™ account?
    Simply click on any of the "Create My HomeLook™ Account" links, which are found on all search screens. Or click here.

    How do I access My HomeLook™ account?
    After you have created an account you will be automatically logged in (please see “Staying logged in”) every time you return to JohnRWood.com (or any of our many sites that utilize the My HomeLook™ Account System). Or on any search screen you will see a Log in Screen and you simply enter the email address you used to set up your account and press the “Login” button.

    Staying logged in?
    If cookies are enabled on your computer, then you will automatically be logged into you’re My HomeLook™ account when you visit the site unless you logout.

    What is My HotList?
    My HotList is the best way to save properties for future viewing, rating, requesting information on many properties at once, as well as sending info about them to family or friends via email.

    What do the ratings mean?
    My HotList gives you the ability to set a rating of Hot, Warm, or Cold for all properties in you’re my HotList. In this way you can quickly sort all of your My HotList properties.

    Why should I rate a property as “cold”?
    A cold property is moved off your HotList screen to a separate ColdList screen. This removes it from view while you are looking at My HotList. This is designed to assist you in limiting the number of listings you have to sort through. Some searches will return so many listings that the Cold List becomes a good way to filter them out.

    What happened to the properties that I rate as cold?
    They are immediately moved out of the HotList to the Cold list screen.

    What happens to the properties that I save to My HotList?
    They are saved in your MyHomeLook™ Account HotList for future viewing or Rating. When you Rate a property from the Details page for that property it is saved into your HotList as well.

    How does the rating a property work?
    Simply click on the Rate (Hot, Warm, or Cold) Thermometer.

    Why should I rate properties?
    This way you can quickly sort all of your My HotList properties.

    Can I sort the properties in my HotList?
    Yes. You may sort your HotList by any of the columns by clicking on the Column header name.

    What happens when a property in my HotList is sold or comes off the market?
    It will no longer show in your HotList. They are moved into a new list, which you may access from your HotList by using the "View Listings No Longer Active" link.

  • My Saved Searches:

    What is a Saved Search?
    If you have a My HomeLook™ account, you may save you searches so that they are easily repeated later by logging in and going to the Saved Searches tab in your Account.

    How do I save my searches?
    You may only save searches if you have a My HomeLook™ Account. When you are Logged in all Searches will have a “Save this Search” check box and a place to name the search next to the “Search” button.

    How do I view the properties from a search that I previously saved?
    Once Logged in click on “Go to my HomeLook™” link (found on all page and in the Searches Menu. There is a Tab on Your Account called “My Saved Searches”. On this tab you will see each saved search, and each will display a count of Properties that:
    1) meet the criteria of the search (View All)
    2) have not been Rated yet (Not Rated)
    3) are in your HotList (In Hot List)
    4) listed in the last 7 days (Newly Listed)
    you may also edit the criteria for each saved search or remove it completely.

    How do I edit my search criteria?
    Go to My HomeLook™ Account, Click on the Saved Searches Tab, and click on the Edit link for that Saved Search.

    What is “View All” in My Saved Searches?
    This will show all results for your search criteria.

    What is “Not Rated” in My Saved Searches?
    These are properties that match you search criteria that you have not Rated yet.

    What is “In Hot List” in My Saved Searches?
    This is the number of properties that you have Rated or added to your HotList from the Saved Search results previously.

    What is “Newly Listed” in My Saved Searches?
    Properties that Match your search criteria that have been listed in the last seven (7) days.

    What is “Edit” in My Saved Searches?
    You may edit the criteria for a saved search and save the new criteria.

    What is “Remove” in My Saved Searches?
    This will remove the Saved Search from your My HomeLook™ Account.

    How do I start a new Search?
    Simply click on the Start New Search link in the Action Bar on your my HomeLook™ Account. Or go to the Property Search menu item on all pages.
